Welcome a new professional to the Aeroplex/Aerolease Group team

Aeroplex/Aerolease Group—a leading aviation property development, management and consulting firm—is pleased to welcome Songyun “Steffi” Qian to its growing team of professionals. Bringing an international perspective and strong aviation background, she will provide consulting services in support of the company’s marketing and social media promotion efforts.

Qian, 23, recently graduated from California State University, Los Angeles with a bachelor’s degree in aviation administration and a minor in business. She is an active student member of the Southwest Chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives AAAE and has attended multiple conferences. She also served as treasurer of the organization’s student AAAE chapter at CSULA.

Originally from China, Qian left her family to live alone in Los Angeles and complete her education under a student visa. Her high degree of integrity, responsibility and ambition greatly impressed her aviation professor Curt Castagna, president and CEO of Aeroplex/Aerolease Group.

“Steffi has a strong interest in succeeding and has gained a solid understanding of the aviation industry,” Castagna said. “We are pleased to benefit from her support, mature outlook and practical approach to her endeavors.”

Qian, who was appointed on August 1, 2016, said, “I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to working with the Long Beach Airport community, partners and Aeroplex/Aerolease Group’s tenants.”
