(Santa Monica, Calif., December 21, 2017) – Aeroplex/Aerolease Group, in partnership with Avfuel Corporation, has made a system upgrade to Santa Monica Municipal Airport’s (SMO) self-serve fueling station. The previous fueling system, a QT Petroleum on Demand’s (POD) M3000 terminal, was replaced with the industry’s newest model, the M4000.

“We recognize the importance of modernization and efficiency in the industry, and the need to support general aviation users,” said Aeroplex/Aerolease Group President and CEO Curt Castagna. “The new QT system is fitted with features that ensure its own efficiency and longevity, such as its automatic software updates, which means less maintenance is needed and less downtime.”

QT POD’s M4000 model was designed with distributors and end-users in mind: Its Next-Generation Communications equipment eliminates reliance on dial-up modem technology by the addition of WiFi, cellular, and Ethernet capabilities, improving overall customer service with faster transaction approvals and reduced communication costs.

SMO has a valuable general aviation community that will operate after the runway shortening project is completed on December 23rd. This upgrade to the self-service facilities at SMO speaks to the passion for general aviation and its community held by both Aeroplex/Aerolease Group and Avfuel.
