Barry has decades of experience planning, organizing, and directing all facets of Airport operations for facilities ranging from small public airports to the nation’s busiest commercial and cargo hubs. Throughout his tenure leading airport operations across California, he spearheaded countless campaigns which successfully improved vendor relationships, expanded passenger and cargo capacity, and prioritized the safety of staff and passengers alike.
Erica Distler serves as Vice President of Administration for Aeroplex Aerolease Group, bringing more than a decade of cross-functional experience spanning business operations, accounting, finance, human resources, customer and tenant relations, account management, sales, and fleet operations.
In her role at Aeroplex, Erica works across the organization to connect people, priorities, and processes, helping translate strategic objectives into coordinated action and measurable results. Known for bringing structure to complexity, she anticipates organizational needs, navigates competing priorities, and creates the clarity and accountability needed to keep initiatives moving forward.
Erica’s broad understanding of the business allows her to operate beyond traditional administrative functions. She partners closely with executive leadership and teams across the organization on business operations, tenant and stakeholder relationships, process development, contracts, vendor coordination, and strategic initiatives. Her ability to see both the larger organizational picture and the details required for successful execution has made her a trusted resource across the company.
With an ownership mindset, strong professional diplomacy, and a highly collaborative leadership style, Erica is focused on strengthening the systems, relationships, and operational discipline that enable Aeroplex and its people to perform at their best.

Daniel Sanchez
Site Manager (LGB)
Daniel Sanchez has diverse experience across a variety of industries including property management, self-storage, retail, and sports management. With over 6 years of property management experience, Daniel’s career transition to Aeroplex Aerolease Group came naturally. Prior to coming to Aeroplex, Daniel started as a groundskeeper, worked his way up the ranks, and promoted to a Property Manager. As a manager, Daniel developed the skills to excel in daily business operational tasks, fostering positive tenant relationships, and acting as a liaison between vendors, and contractors. His positive, can-do attitude and dedication to the craft makes Daniel a valuable asset to any team and we are proud to have him.
As the Site Manager (LGB) at Aeroplex, Daniel assists with the daily operations at the various facilities, project management, and conducting research and analysis on aviation and airport consulting assignments. He also contributes to marketing initiatives, event and film location management, and tenant/community outreach.
Daniel is currently completing his Associate’s Degree at Fullerton Community College and plans to transfer to California State University Fullerton in the Fall of 2023 to study Business Administration. When he’s not working or studying, Daniel enjoys being outdoors, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
Jose Alas
Site Manager (VNY)
Jose Alas has over 16 years of experience in commercial building maintenance, facility management, customer service, as well as property and vendor management. As Site Manager (VNY) at Aeroplex Aerolease Group, Jose is responsible for the overall management of numerous facilities at the Van Nuys Airport (VNY) and manages the cost tracking of operations budget and expenses. He also oversees all of the day-to-day operations and manages and monitors all aspects of maintenance (preventive, corrective and scheduled) and construction projects to ensure quality standards are met at the Aeroplex facilities in VNY.
Jose earned a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from the University of El Salvador Universidad El Salvador (El Salvador) in 2004.
Ozzy Vargas
Facilities Manager (LGB)
Osvaldo “Ozzy” Vargas has over 8 years of experience in facility management, commercial building maintenance and upkeep, project oversight and quality assurance. Ozzy’s role as Facilities Manager at Aeroplex Aerolease Group involves the overall management and maintenance of the Aeroplex facility at Long Beach Airport (LGB). He oversees all of the daily operations, and manages all vendors and maintenance repair projects to ensure Aeroplex facilities at LGB meet the highest quality standards.
Ozzy attended Long Beach City College and earned an Associate’s degree in Liberal Arts in 2011.

Alexandra “Alex” Clark has over five years of experience serving the aviation, transportation, and community management industries. Her diverse background in aviation management, marketing, communications, and event coordination provides her with a unique perspective. Passionate about all things aviation, she enjoys leveraging technology and creativity to solve problems and achieve goals.
As an Administrative Assistant for Aeroplex Aerolease Group, Alex is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and strives to promptly address tenant questions and concerns.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Management and Marketing from Westminster University in Salt Lake City, Utah, graduating in 2019.
