Minneapolis, Minnesota (September 10-11, 2019): This week, American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) will be hosting their General Aviation Conference in Minneapolis Minnesota. The annual gathering brings airport managers and industry experts together to review current challenges the general aviation industry faces. The AAAE is the world’s largest professional organization for airport executives, representing thousands of airport management personnel at public-use commercial and general aviation airports nationally.

On Monday, September 9, Curt Castagna, C.M., President and CEO of Aeroplex/Aerolease Group, will moderate a panel on Airport Reversionary Rights. The panel will be addressing policy and the practical application on best practices for airport sponsors to manage improved land and buildings to maximize airport use and sustainability. Mr. Castagna’s esteemed panel of industry experts include speakers Thomas M. Vick, A.A.E., IACE, Compliance Specialist, U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, Peter J. Kirsch, Esq., Partner, Kaplan Kirsch & Rockwell LLP, and Miguel Vasconcelos, Senior Airport Compliance Specialist, U.S. Federal Aviation Administration.

Curt Castagna has a diverse background in general aviation and more than 35 years of proven expertise in all aspects of airport development, aviation consulting, and management services. Curt is the current Chairmen of the board of directors for the National Air Transportation Association (NATA), serves as a member of the Los Angeles County Aviation Commission and a certified member of the AAAE. Curt has a long history of taking leadership roles in airport tenant and aviation trade associations and is recognized by his peers and colleagues for establishing collaborative partnerships when negotiating through complex general aviation challenges, while maintaining a focus on compromise and consensus building. Devoted to mentoring future aviation professionals, he has over 27 years of experience as an adjunct professor, teaching various classes in the Aviation Administration Bachelor of Arts program at California State University, Los Angeles and Cypress Community College
