Long Beach, CA, Nov. 26, 2019 |  Luis Trujillo, C.M., Project & Site Manager for Aeroplex/Aerolease Group, has been named as one of the “Top 40 Under 40” award recipients by Airport Business Magazine. The annual award recognized 40 aviation industry professionals under the age of 40 for their academic and professional accomplishments.

From Colombia to the United States, Trujillo has accumulated nearly a decade of experience in the aviation industry, through his studies and working on a variety of complex projects at airports in Southern California, including Santa Monica, Long Beach, and Van Nuys Airports.

Trujillo graduated from California State University, Los Angeles, with a Bachelors of Science in Aviation Administration, where he played soccer on an athletic scholarship. While still in school, he pursued an airport operations internship at John Wayne Airport (SNA) and continued working for American Airports at Compton Airport (CPM). He joined the Aeroplex/Aeroplex Group in 2016, and has since grown as a professional assisting in a variety of project management and development projects in California. Trujillo is directly responsible for the management of over 200,000 square feet of office and hangar space at Santa Monica Airport and is now assisting Aeroplex/Aerolease Group on a large-scale hangar and office construction and the development of solar rooftop facilities at Van Nuys Airport (VNY). Trujillo completed his Certified Member (C.M.) program with the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and is currently completing the required studies to secure his Project Management Professional (PMP) credential through the Project Management Institute.
