Congratulations – Curt Castagna, C.M., President/CEO Aeroplex/Aerolease Group

Long Beach, CA, June 24, 2019 – Last week at its Annual Meeting and Aviation Business Conference, the National Air Transportation Association (NATA) announced changes to its Board of Directors. Curt Castagna, C.M., President and CEO of Aeroplex/Aerolease Group (Long Beach, CA), has been appointed as the new Board Chair. Clive Lowe, the Senior Vice President of Business Development for Atlantic Aviation (Arlington, VA) was appointed as Vice Chair. Founded in 1940, NATA is the national association of aviation business service providers with a mission to be the leading national trade association representing the business interests of general aviation service companies on legislative and regulatory matters at the federal level and in providing education, services, and benefits to our members to help ensure their long-term economic success. With over 2,300 member companies, NATA provides a broad range of aeronautical services to the aviation community.

Castagna has worked closely with NATA throughout his experience in the industry and has been a member of the NATA board of directors since 2013. Besides overseeing the Aeroplex/Aerolease Group’s development, management and consulting services, in addition to his diverse aviation background, Curt has a long history of taking leadership roles in airport tenant and aviation trade associations. He is recognized by his peers and colleagues for establishing collaborative partnerships when negotiating through complex general aviation challenges, while maintaining a focus on compromise and consensus building. In addition, Curt sits on the County of Los Angeles Airport Commission and is an adjunct professor in the aviation management program at California State University Los Angeles and Cypress Community College.

From demonstrated success with Aeroplex/Aerolease Group, to substantial involvement and impact with a variety of aviation organizations, Castagna has proven to be an exceptional fit for this role. Under NATA’s new leadership, it is anticipated the Association will continue to thrive, provide leadership and result in positive influence for the NATA members and the aviation community altogether.
